Di Elena Montanari

Health is increasingly recognised as a societal issue, linked to multiple and complex factors, persistent inequalities, and lifestyle. In the framework of the multifaceted process museums are undergoing to become more effective, relevant, and inclusive social agents, this book specifically aims to explore the enhancement of these institutions’ capability to foster the health and wellbeing of visitors, and in particular to highlight how emerging spatial and museographic projects are being designed to contribute to this goal.

Elena Montanari is Assistant Professor in Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design at the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies of Politecnico di Milano, where she investigates the evolution of cultural and spatial practices related to the enhancement of museums and heritage sites within the contemporary scenario.
